Xiamen Huatian International Vocational Institute was founded in 2002. In February 2004, it was approved by the People's Government of Fujian Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. It became a full-time college for the unified enrollment of the national college entrance examination. The college covers an area of 524 acres and a building area of 160,000 square meters. It has seven secondary colleges, including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

It includes 39 high-level enrollment majors including mechanical design and manufacturing, software technology, accounting, and hotel management. The school has nearly 8,000 students. The college has established a management mechanism of “leadership of the board of directors, school management of the principal, expert study, faculty and staff participation”, abide by the motto of “sincerity and goodness, truth and beauty”, and adhere to the principle of “people-oriented, ethics and skills, integration of production and learning, international vision, and a win-win model”. The college attaches great importance to cultivating students' professional skills, professionalism and professional ethics, and has trained a large number of innovative and practical skills for the country.
